Where to start?? Well I had a baby 4 and a 1/2 months ago and I saw a photo of myself in a bikini a couple of weeks back, ugghhhh! I know that this is certainly not the end of the world but I know if I don't start now it will be five years time and I will be a size 16 (I guess that is like a US 12) or worse.
I disagree with anyone who says that a woman lifting heavy weights will not bulk up. I am living proof of that. I started my early 20's at 53kg (117lbs) and that's when I started doing weight training, benching up to 50kg (110lbs) and shoulder presses with 15kg (33lbs) dumbbells in each hand.
Roll forward 6 years of this and when I had my first bub everything came back to shape relatively well but I was two sizes bigger and it just wouldn't budge. Now after the second bub I find myself another size bigger with my waist measurement the same as my bust! Just to clarify the only place I have lost weight is my boobs which now look like two little droopy sacks. Its not like I haven't exercised in the past few years, I have put in time on the treadmill, doing yoga, pilates and more weights but I just want to be smaller and able to buy a shirt that I can fit around my biceps.
I guess my goal with this blog is to keep motivated and to see if Tracy's mantra is right. Can you get back to a teeny tiny body from being bulky and muscular???
We shall see....
Tomorrow- the plan.
BTW I am very new to this and not a big sharer, on FB or anything like that so hopefully some of my personality might come out in this over time and I won't seem like such a boring whinger ;)
